  1. Proud Update by Jesse - Fountain Hill, PA

I used my bag in a store today. As the check-out clerk filled my bag, she paused, turned it around, looked at all sides, and asked, "Where did you get this?" I replied, "hrc.org - they do a lot of good work." She paused packing my bag, turned around, picked up her cell phone and entered a reminder to check out hrc.org (she asked me twice to confirm the Web address)...I finished packing my bag and left with a BIG smile on my face. Your bags do more than carry groceries - they MAKE A PROUD STATEMENT! (Posted on 5/7/13)

  2. Making a Statement at the Grocery Store and Farmers' Market by Jesse - Fountain Hill, PA

I received my bags (2) yesterday and used them today for the first time for my weekly shopping trip. I am pleased with the product - the bags have "just the right length" handles (some of my other reusable bags have handles so long, the bottom of the bag scrapes the ground going back to the car in the parking lot - and I'm 5'9" - these handles are perfect!). I also enjoyed the little loops to hook onto the self-checkout devices to keep the bags upright while stuffing them with just-bought groceries; and I like the sturdy "bottom piece" provided with the bags - most of my other reusables have no bottom portion which makes transporting groceries tedious at best. The greatest part of these bags is the vibrant color: THEY MAKE A PROUD STATEMENT. I almost skipped back to my car in the parking lot; I was so proud to carry them...thanks for making them available! A wise marketing choice by the powers-that-be at HRC.

Definitely a yes for gift-giving or just treating yourself. (Posted on 3/30/13)

  3. Buying one anyway by Diane - Anacortes

What are the dimensions? It looks smaller than conventional grocery bag but I'm buying one anyway. (Posted on 3/27/13)

  4. Handy for Work by Christina -Springfield, MO

I use this bag to toss my lunch stuff into on my way to work. It's also big enough to throw all my "forgotten" tupperware into to take back home too haha. Love the message I can send simply by walking into my workplace with my lunch. :) Just a friendly reminder to those I work with that THIS is the face of a person who needs equality. 5. Shopping and showing pride! by Andrew- Bethesda, MD

I use this bag almost daily now. Since the bag tax started in Maryland, I hate having to pay for them when I don't need to. I have 2 and bring them everytime I go to the grocery store, so it not only saves me money and helps the environment, it shows off my HRC pride! It has definitely held up even with some heavy items. I think I am going to buy a couple more and give them to some family members because everyone could use more of this type of bag so why not show your equality support while you shop?
