Healthcare Equality Index 2008

A joint project of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation and the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, the second annual HEI rates 88 U.S. hospitals on their policies and practices related to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. This year 45 hospitals reported GLBT-inclusive policies and practices for every one of the 10 HEI rating criteria. Be sure to find out how your local hospitals rate. Is your hospital missing? Send them a copy!
